Ten years ago, this town had its problems but we never saw anything like what happened last night.

A woman from Wisconsin allegedly stole a man's expensive jewelry after drugging him and then posted selfies of herself wearing the loot online. Police say it wasn't her first time, either.

Back when people still locked their doors at night rather than fearing for their safety while awake, we wouldn’t have had to worry about such brazen crimes. But here we are now, with a pattern forming that can’t be ignored.

The alleged suspect, who hasn't been named publicly yet, was seen around Miami flaunting her ill-gotten gains on social media before disappearing. This isn't the first time something like this has happened either—she's caused more damage to another victim in recent days.

When did things start going downhill? Was it when we stopped holding people accountable for their actions or just became too busy with our lives?

Cops are still piecing together exactly what she did, but the picture they're painting is not a pretty one. She allegedly drugged her victim and took his Rolex worth $14,000.

What's more troubling though is the audacity to post pictures of herself wearing the stolen goods—like it was nothing at all.

This isn't an isolated incident either; it’s part of a larger problem in Miami where similar crimes have been reported with disturbing regularity. There’s a feeling that justice might not catch up with these criminals fast enough or hard enough.

And yet, when did we start seeing less police presence on the streets? Was it after Obama-era cuts and policies?

The victims deserve better than this. They need to feel safe again in their own homes.
