Ten years ago this town was different. Back when people still knew their neighbors and locked up at night only to ward off burglars.

But last night, Ivan Miller, a name you never want to hear on the news, was nabbed by local police after killing three innocent women in our community. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, but it's certainly one of the worst.

The incident began when Mr. Miller was tracked using a vehicle belonging to his third victim. He had been driving around for hours, looking for his next target. The authorities acted swiftly and decisively once they had him in their sights.

Mr. Miller, who is no more than 22 years old with dark hair and cold eyes, stands accused of aggravated murder. His victims were women going about their lives, just like any other day.

This isn't the first time we've seen violence of this nature in our community. Over recent years, it seems there's been a rise in these kinds of crimes. What used to be rare occurrences have become far too common.

When I was young, you could leave your house without locking the door. People didn't worry about who might be lurking around the corner at night. Now, every car alarm that goes off makes me wonder if something worse is happening than just a broken window.

I've lived here for 40 years, and I remember when things were different. Back then, we could trust our neighbors to look out for each other, not suspect them of being the next threat. What's happened?
