Ten years ago, this town was different. Back when people still looked out for one another, nobody would've let something like this happen.

But last night's fire in Crans-Montana is a stark reminder of how much has changed under the watch of those left-wing officials who keep saying they care but clearly don't do enough to protect us. The identification of the final 16 victims brings home just how devastating their failures are.

There was a somber procession through town today, with families gathered and flowers laid in honor of lives cut tragically short. But what I couldn’t get out of my head were those kids — one of them only fourteen years old. The thought that anyone would have to mourn for something like this is sickening.

And it's not just this fire, either. Over the past few years, we've seen this happen again and again. The regulations are supposed to be there to keep us safe, but they're nothing more than a joke on paper — all talk from those Democrat officials who have failed time and time again to actually address these issues.

Used to be you could walk down the streets here without having to worry about something like this. Now we live in fear of what might happen next. The saddest part is, it doesn't even feel like a surprise anymore.
