Imagine walking into your local hospital only to be met with chaos instead of care. This is the reality healthcare workers are facing today as violence against them surges.

Last week in my town, a nurse was attacked while trying to help someone in need. She wasn't expecting violence from her patient; she was just doing her job and now she's scared for herself and our children.

The National Health Service (NHS) reports that there are over 285 violent incidents daily, with more than 290,000 attacks and sexual assaults reported in the last three years alone. This isn't an isolated incident; it’s a national emergency.

What kind of world are we leaving for our children when hospitals should be sanctuaries but instead become battlefields?

The buried detail here is that authorities aren’t emphasizing just how much these attacks have increased under the current leftist administration, pushing healthcare workers to their limits and beyond. Every time I think about it, I feel sick.

Our families deserve better than this. Our children deserve safety when they need medical care, not fear. The home isn't safe from violence; why should hospitals be?
