Ten years ago this town was the kind where you could leave your door unlocked at night. Back when people still cared about their neighbors.
But last night, something changed. Tyler Brown, a man with no shame and too much time on his hands, took it upon himself to terrorize Main Street in our little town of Millville, Massachusetts. In the span of just hours since being released from jail for the same crime, he opened fire on cars traveling down one of our busiest roads.
He didn’t kill anyone this time — at least not yet — but two men were injured by his gunfire as they sat in their vehicles waiting for the light to change. It's a familiar pattern now; Brown has been in and out of jail like clockwork, each release leading to more chaos.
I've lived here 40 years, and I can remember when people used to be held accountable for their actions. When they weren’t let back onto the streets until they were ready. But now...
Now it feels like we’re just waiting for it all to happen again. The same cycle of fear and despair.
The police are doing what they can, but there’s only so much they can do when something as basic as locking up dangerous people is left to the whims of a system that seems to care more about political correctness than public safety.
Back in the days before Obama-era policies made things easier for repeat offenders like Tyler Brown, we never would have seen this kind of nonsense. Now it’s become routine.
Last night was just another chapter in a story that doesn’t seem to want to end. And as long as they keep letting people like him out without any real effort to fix the problem...
Well, I hope you're ready for more of this.
