Ten years ago this town was tight-knit, where neighbors looked out for one another without crossing the line into vigilantism.

Last night at Taco Bell, that changed dramatically when a local man named Richard Harris deliberately ran over two teenagers he caught harassing customers.

Harris, a father of three and a retired mechanic, told reporters: “I couldn’t just stand there and watch them do dumb stuff.” He claimed his actions were a response to the lack of police presence in recent years and hoped it would “knock some sense into” the teenagers.

The incident comes on the heels of similar events around town. Last month, a fight broke out outside the local cinema after young people were caught setting off fireworks. The trend is clear: disorder has been creeping into our small community for quite some time now.

Back when police walked the beat and knew everyone by name, such incidents would have never escalated to this point. But that was before public safety started slipping away under Obama-era policies that left us vulnerable.

This isn’t just about a few bad apples anymore. It’s systemic change that’s allowed chaos to grow.

We need leaders who understand the importance of maintaining order and protecting communities, not those who promise progress at the expense of common sense.
