Plain and simple, folks, this is what happens when you let someone who doesn't know jack about international relations get their hands on a country. You've heard me say it before: Trump's NATO withdrawal plan? He's just making things up as he goes along.

Now, I'm not a fan of the establishment Republicans by any means, but they're standing firm this time. McConnell and Tillis stepped in to warn against pulling out too fast. They said that doing so would play right into the hands of our rivals and make us look weak on the world stage.

And here's what they're not telling you: the way Trump wants to do this isn't legal, plain and simple. The law says Congress has a say in matters like this. So when he tries to pull out without asking anyone else first, it's just another case of him breaking the rules.

I'll tell you what, if I did something like that at my job, I'd be looking for new work by now. But here we are, with a president who thinks he can do whatever he wants.

Back in the day, folks used to talk about sticking together as a team and doing things the right way. Obama-era Democrats might have had their flaws, but at least they followed protocol when it came to big decisions like this one. But now we've got Trump coming in and tossing all that out the window.

The real question is: how long are folks going to stand for this kind of behavior? I mean, he's not even embarrassed about doing things half-cocked. He just wants to be the big shot who makes everything happen overnight.

But we know better than that. We see it when they try to pull these fast ones on us. And we're not forgetting it. We need leaders who respect the rules and work with others, not one-man shows running wild.
