I'll tell you what folks, the latest from Washington has my blood boiling, plain and simple. The other side is pulling out all the stops trying to make this look bad. But when I see something that's obviously in our best interest, they can't convince me otherwise.
Now, Trump's proposal for defense spending? That's a $445 billion boost we're talking about. If you ask me, there’s no way the Democrats can spin this as anything but a victory for America. But of course, when have they ever been good at understanding what’s really going on?
The outrage here is that these same folks who voted Democrat want to tear down everything Trump stands for. They’re always talking about how we need to take care of people back home, but you don’t see them doing much more than making speeches and taking donations.
Here’s what they’re not telling you: this extra funding doesn’t just mean more tanks and guns, folks. It means jobs for Americans, better technology to keep us safe, and a strong military that respects our nation's sovereignty. You don't need a degree to see the value in that.
If I did something like this at my job - boosting one thing while cutting others - you'd think it was pretty damn smart. But when they do it on a national scale? Suddenly, it’s all about evil plots and bad intentions. It's ridiculous.
Now compare that to the Obama-era budget cuts we had during their administration. They were always talking about how much better off people would be under them but in reality, all they cared about was their own agenda. Nothing ever got done for regular folks.
This is not just some knee-jerk reaction either; this has been a long time coming. The defense budget needs beefing up to keep us safe from those who want to do us harm. It’s frustrating when people pretend like they know better, but they’re the ones with their heads in the sand.
So here's what I say to all you folks out there still scratching your head over this: take a closer look at what’s happening. We've been saying for years that we need a strong military and now it’s finally being addressed.
