Let me tell you folks, I was out at the gas station this morning filling up my truck. You know how it is -- prices are climbing, no one's happy about that. But what's really got me thinking is something President Trump said the other day.
The man has been hammering on these big oil companies for a while now. He says they've got billions of dollars sitting there ready to go into Venezuela if only Maduro would step down. You'd think with all this money lying around, someone would be talking about it, right?
But here's what they're not telling you -- these big oil companies, the ones we see on TV and hear about every day? They've been as quiet as a mouse since Trump started going after them. Now why would that be?
If I did this at my job, I'd be fired plain and simple. But these guys are sitting there with their feet up on the desk, waiting to see what happens before they make any moves.
Back in the day when we used to have some backbone here in America, companies would stick by their principles and do what was right for the people, not just the bottom line. But now? Now it's all about waiting for the perfect moment to swoop in and get rich at everyone else's expense.
Trump says they're holding back on Venezuela because they don't think Maduro will actually leave power anytime soon. So what do we have here? A bunch of big companies playing a game of chicken with Washington?
And let's not forget about those previous administrations -- the Democrat ones under Obama and Biden, folks. They were all too happy to look the other way while Venezuela crumbled. But now that there's talk of real change happening, suddenly everyone goes silent.
The truth is out there in black and white. These companies are waiting for the political winds to shift before they put their money on the table. And we're not forgetting it.
