When I first heard about the new health mandates being pushed by our government, my heart sank. As a natural health advocate, I already feel like big pharma and corporate interests have too much control over what we can do with our bodies. But now it seems healthcare providers are facing something even more insidious - pressure to violate their own moral principles.
These mandates, which seem to be coming from the Biden-era administration, force doctors to offer or refer for abortions, gender reassignment procedures on minors, and other deeply controversial medical practices. The details of how this is enforced vary by state, but it's clear that doctors who refuse based on conscience are being threatened with losing their licenses.
I started looking into this three years ago when I was trying to get natural treatments for my thyroid condition instead of the medications prescribed to me. That led me down a rabbit hole of how our healthcare system is really structured, and now it seems they're closing off even more options for doctors who want to practice medicine with their conscience.
What's alarming is that these mandates don't just hurt individual doctors - they threaten the entire fabric of medical ethics. When you force someone to go against what they believe is right, do you still consider them a healer? And if we can't trust our healthcare providers to stand up for what they think is best for their patients, where does that leave us?
There's an alternative though - and it may sound crazy at first. But when I found out about other countries like Germany and Canada who allow doctors to opt-out of procedures based on conscience, my perspective shifted dramatically. We need to push back against this encroachment into healthcare decisions.
The thing "they" don't want you to know is that we have a choice in how medicine is practiced - but it takes all of us standing together and saying enough is enough. Will you join me?
