This lack of awareness has sparked outrage among those who feel misrepresented by their favorite stars. “They need to come to our towns and see what we’re dealing with,” said a concerned mother from Missouri, whose family is currently on food stamps due to job losses in the manufacturing sector. “Until they do that, how can they speak for us?”
