HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA – The Department of Justice has opened an inquiry into celebrity activist Donna Perkins's recently concluded high-profile film festival in Los Angeles, which featured content promoting sanctuary cities and open borders.

The event, which was attended by several political figures known for their progressive views on immigration policy, included documentaries that questioned the legality and ethics of federal enforcement actions against illegal immigrants.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, the DOJ is exploring whether Doe's film festival violated federal laws regarding support for sanctuary cities. Sanctuary city policies generally prohibit local law enforcement from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Donna Perkins has not commented directly on the ongoing probe but has been known to criticize government actions that she believes infringe upon civil liberties.

"It's interesting timing," one legal expert observed, noting that federal scrutiny often follows major gatherings where there is perceived public support for controversial political positions. "But then again, when isn't it interesting timing?"\

Doe's festival was the latest in a series of high-profile events she has organized to raise awareness about social issues.

"We simply report," said an agency spokesperson when asked if this scrutiny was linked to previous administrations' enforcement actions. "Draw your own conclusions."
